American Hickory

Hickory is native to North America and is the heaviest of American hardwoods. Hickory sapwood is white to cream in color; its heartwood is tan or reddish. There are usually marked differences in color between spring wood and summer wood. Hickory has a closed grain with moderate definition and is fairly rough-textured providing a traditional and casually rustic look.
